My inspiration for the Prayer Hut...www.prayerhuts.com
I love this restaurant in Seminyak. I am facing a rice field with balinese hut in the middle of it.
Better have your mosquito repellent too.
Keita, my godbrother was already in Bali when I got there. Hadn't seen him in years but no better place or time than this.
The view from my balcony in Denpasar.
Balinese Compound...Whole families...several generations will live together in one compound although in separate quarters.
A nap after lunch...the body says, yessss!
I try to eat right...I try.
When God asked Keita what he wanted to be...he said "different." GRANTED.
My balcony, from here I could here the Muslims call to prayer from the Mosque nearby 5 times per day.
The Cozy Beach Cafe at Bateu Beliq. My favorite place to be alone.
I bring my laptop. Eat breakfast, walk on the beach, come back eat lunch, take a nap, wake up have dinner and order food for take away...then one day, Alan Morgan came over to where I am sitting and asked me if he could set on the cushions on the other wall...erggggg! But, I said ok. Meeting Alan turned out to be the best thing that happened to me while in Bali.
Keita and I went to a brand new Buddhist Temple at night. We were the only ones there.
Indonesian coffee. Guaranteed mud in the bottom
Had to get a close up. My camera zoom is not bad.
People walking up to the end of the cliff to the Temple at Uluwatu.
Sunset from my spot at the cozy beach cafe.
I could write my book from here.
Here he is, Alan Morgan from Melbourne, Australia. We discovered that corner at Cozy Beach is both of our favorite spots. When he saw me there, he thought "errggggg, got to ask her if I can sit there too." What a conversation we had that day. Later, he introduced me to Gary, his partner of 15 years.

Most people ride motor bikes in Bali...sometimes the whole family. I have seen as many as 5 people on a bike. Anyway, I learned to ride a motor bike while I was there.

How big the world is!!! Yet it is only one of many, many worlds. The ocean is a whole other world. Beyond comprehension, right?
Ade did my hair. It was his first time doing African hair. It was definitely an improvement.
Ibu Agung on her way to a wedding ceremony. She was drying these bugs to cook. Indonesian food is delicious, lots of new flavors and lots of crispy foods and I love crispy. But...I learned to stop asking what I am eating if I was to be able to enjoy it. Hahahaha.
Wild baby monkey having a good time with this plastic water bottle.
Ubud, a compound of an old king
Shopping in Seminyak.
Tanah Lot Temple
Ari's compound. I considered living here. Of course, when I finished with it, it would look nothing like this. You must admit, it has great potential.
The rocks on the left, I brought from home. (I know, I am a strange bird). The rocks on the right I found at Tanah Lot Temple. I marvel at how long it must take for the inner rock to swirl a hole into the outer rock. I would venture to say it takes a long time...a very, very long time. The inner rock has made a lasting impression. Ok...I am done...thanks for indulging me :-)
